This Privacy Policy explains how Nelson Technology Group, LLC (“NTG,” “PostMite,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit the PostMite website, create an account, purchase a subscription, or use the PostMite application.
By using PostMite, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, do not create an account or use PostMite.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Content and Takedown Policy .
1. What PostMite Does
PostMite is an AI-assisted social media planning and content creation tool. It helps users develop post ideas, generate draft captions, organize planned content, select intended social platforms, create schedules, and receive posting reminders.
PostMite does not automatically publish content to social media platforms and does not require you to connect your social media accounts.
PostMite does not request or store your Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, YouTube, Lemon8, or other social media passwords or access tokens.
Platform names, buttons, or icons inside PostMite are used as organizational labels and posting reminders. They do not represent access to your social media accounts.
2. Information You Provide
The information we collect depends on how you use PostMite.
A. Account Information
When you create or manage a PostMite account, we may collect:
- Your email address
- Your name or display name, if provided
- Your business name, if provided
- Your account preferences and settings
- Authentication and account-verification information
- Your subscription status and plan information
Password authentication is handled through our authentication provider. We do not intentionally store your readable password.
B. Business Profile Information
To help PostMite create useful content, you may provide information about yourself or your business, including:
- Business name and description
- Industry or type of business
- Products and services
- Preferred tone or communication style
- Target customers or audience
- Location or service area
- Website or public business information
- Social platforms on which you intend to post
You decide what business-profile information to provide. You should not submit confidential information that is not necessary for creating or planning social media content.
C. Content and Planning Information
When you use PostMite, we may store content and planning information associated with your account, including:
- Post topics and instructions
- Draft and generated captions
- Post titles and descriptions
- Media ideas and notes
- Uploaded media, if uploading is available
- Categories, tags, and saved-post information
- Selected or intended social platforms
- Scheduled dates and posting reminders
- Your own posting-status selections or history
- Edits, preferences, and feedback you provide
You retain ownership of the content you submit and create, subject to the limited permissions described in our Terms of Service.
D. Communications With Us
If you contact PostMite for support, provide feedback, report a problem, request account deletion, or submit a legal complaint, we may collect:
- Your name and email address
- The content of your message
- Screenshots or files you choose to provide
- Account and technical information needed to investigate the issue
- Records of our communications with you
E. Payment and Subscription Information
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. PostMite may receive and store limited billing information such as:
- Your subscription plan
- Your subscription status
- Billing dates and renewal dates
- Transaction or customer identifiers
- Payment status
- The type and last digits of a payment method, when provided by the processor
PostMite does not intentionally receive or store your complete payment-card number or card security code. Those details are handled by the payment provider under its own privacy and security practices.
3. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the PostMite website or use the application, our systems and service providers may automatically receive limited technical and usage information, including:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Date and time of access
- Pages or application features visited
- Login and session activity
- Referring website or source
- Error reports and diagnostic information
- General usage and performance information
We use this information to provide the service, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, understand whether features are working, and improve PostMite.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
PostMite may use cookies, browser storage, authentication tokens, or similar technologies that are necessary to:
- Keep you signed in
- Protect account security
- Remember settings and preferences
- Maintain application sessions
- Process subscription and checkout activity
- Measure website and application performance
Disabling required cookies or browser storage may prevent parts of PostMite from functioning properly.
PostMite does not currently use your information to provide third-party behavioral advertising.
5. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Create and authenticate your account
- Provide and maintain PostMite
- Save your drafts, post plans, schedules, and preferences
- Generate captions, ideas, and other requested content
- Provide posting reminders and organizational features
- Process and manage subscriptions
- Respond to support requests and communications
- Detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security threats
- Diagnose technical problems and improve reliability
- Understand how PostMite features are used
- Develop, test, and improve PostMite
- Enforce our Terms of Service and other policies
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Protect PostMite, NTG, our users, and third parties
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal information with third-party advertisers for their own targeted advertising.
6. Artificial Intelligence Processing
When you request an AI-generated caption, post idea, rewrite, or similar feature, the information needed to fulfill that request may be sent to OpenAI through its business API services.
Information sent for AI processing may include:
- Your post topic or instructions
- Relevant business-profile information
- Your requested writing style or tone
- Existing text you ask PostMite to revise
- Technical information needed to process the request
Do not include sensitive personal information, private customer information, passwords, financial account information, medical information, or confidential business information in an AI prompt unless it is necessary and you have the legal right to provide it.
PostMite does not use your prompts or generated content to train its own general-purpose artificial intelligence model.
OpenAI states that information submitted through its API is not used to train or improve its models by default unless the API customer expressly opts in. OpenAI may retain limited API information for safety, abuse monitoring, legal compliance, and service operation in accordance with OpenAI’s own terms and policies.
AI output may be inaccurate or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing generated material before saving, using, or publishing it.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described below.
A. Service Providers
We may provide limited information to companies that perform services on our behalf, including:
- Account authentication and database hosting providers
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Artificial intelligence service providers
- Payment and subscription processors
- Email-delivery providers
- Security, error-monitoring, and technical-support providers
These providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services and process information under their own contracts, terms, and privacy practices.
B. Legal Requirements and Protection
We may preserve, access, or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, legal process, or a court order
- Respond to a lawful government request
- Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or policy violations
- Protect the rights, safety, and property of NTG, users, or others
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
- Prevent serious harm or illegal activity
C. Business Transfers
If PostMite or Nelson Technology Group, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of the business, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Any successor receiving personal information will remain responsible for handling it consistently with applicable law and the privacy commitments in effect at the time of transfer.
D. With Your Direction or Permission
We may share information when you specifically ask us to do so or otherwise provide permission.
8. Social Media Platforms
PostMite does not send your saved content directly to social media platforms and does not access your social media accounts.
When you manually copy, download, upload, or publish content on a third-party platform, that activity occurs outside PostMite and is governed by the platform’s own terms and privacy policy.
PostMite is not responsible for how a social platform collects, stores, uses, or shares information after you manually publish content there.
9. Data Storage and Security
PostMite uses Supabase for account authentication and database storage. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and user information.
Safeguards may include:
- Encrypted connections during data transmission
- Authentication and access controls
- Database permissions
- Row Level Security intended to separate user records
- Restricted administrative access
- Logging, monitoring, and security updates
- Payment processing through specialized third-party providers
No website, database, internet transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and protecting access to your email account and devices.
Contact us promptly at support@postmite.com if you believe your PostMite account has been accessed without permission.
10. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide PostMite, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
In general:
- Account information may be retained while your account remains active
- Saved content may be retained until you delete it or request account deletion
- Subscription and transaction records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes
- Support communications may be retained to document and resolve requests
- Security and technical logs may be retained for a limited operational period
- Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups before being overwritten
We may retain limited information after account deletion when required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, or protect legal rights.
11. Your Choices and Controls
Depending on the features currently available, you may be able to:
- Review or edit your account information
- Update your business profile and preferences
- Edit or delete saved posts and drafts
- Change scheduled dates and reminders
- Cancel your paid subscription
- Request a copy of certain account information
- Request deletion of your PostMite account
To request account deletion, access assistance, or another privacy-related action, email support@postmite.com from the email address associated with your account.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your PostMite account or saved content. Account deletion must be requested separately unless an account-deletion feature is provided inside the application.
12. Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request that we:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information
- Provide access to certain personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete certain personal information
- Provide certain information in a portable format
- Limit or object to certain processing
- Explain the categories of information collected and shared
PostMite does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
We will not discriminate against you for submitting a valid privacy request.
Some information may be exempt from a request when retention or processing is necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, contractual obligations, or the rights of another person.
13. Children’s Privacy
PostMite is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Users under the legal age of majority where they live may use PostMite only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through PostMite, contact us at support@postmite.com . We will review the report and take appropriate action.
14. Information About Other People
Do not submit another person’s private or sensitive information to PostMite unless you have permission and a lawful reason to do so.
You are responsible for ensuring that customer information, employee information, photographs, testimonials, contact details, or other third-party information included in your prompts or content may legally be used.
15. External Websites and Services
PostMite may contain links to websites, services, payment pages, or social media platforms operated by third parties.
This Privacy Policy does not govern third-party websites or services. Review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
16. International Processing
PostMite and its service providers may process or store information in the United States or other countries in which those providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between countries. By using PostMite, you understand that information may be processed outside the location where you live, subject to applicable legal safeguards.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when PostMite changes or when legal, operational, security, or service-provider requirements change.
The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
When a change is material or when legally required, we may also provide notice through PostMite, by email, or through another reasonable method.
Your continued use of PostMite after an updated Privacy Policy takes effect means that you acknowledge the revised policy.
